India DPDP Act

Last updated: September 2026

1. Who is responsible for what

India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) sets out how personal data must be handled.

  • When a business calls you through Ringexa, that business decides why you are called and is the Data Fiduciary. Ringexa places the call and keeps the record on the business's behalf.
  • When you use our website or have a Ringexa account, Ringexa is the Data Fiduciary for that information.

2. What we collect and why

  • Demo requests: your name, phone number and email, which you give with your consent, so we can call you back.
  • Calls: the recording, a written transcript and a short summary, so the business can see what was said and follow up.
  • Accounts: your name, email and a hashed password, so you can sign in.

We use this data only for these purposes. We do not sell it and do not use it for advertising.

3. How it is protected

Encryption, private recordings and per-client separation are described on our Security & Encryption page.

4. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal data we hold about you;
  • correct or complete it;
  • erase it, where we are not required to keep it;
  • hear and resolve a complaint about how it was handled.

Write to info@ringexa.com with your phone number or email. We reply within 12 hours, every day of the week. If your data came from a business that called you, we work with that business to act on your request.

This page explains how Ringexa handles personal data. It is not legal advice.
